Welcome to The Culver Cottage!

Being lovers of historical architecture we felt this charming Queen Anne Victorian would provide the perfect spaces within which we could combine Victorian, Craftsman & Cottage furnishings, colors & details. Enjoy warm spaces finished with rich period colors & an eclectic grouping of furnishings from the era. Our interest in operating a Bed & Breakfast was to provide a more personalized & comfortable lodging alternative, one that invites & finds you at ease as if you were visiting a friends home. We hope that you will visit soon & enjoy all that Culver has to offer.

Originally the residence for the Academy's first physician, this charming 1906 Queen Anne Victorian was transformed into a Bed & Breakfast in 2004. In keeping with the beautiful details throughout the original house the 10-room Inn addition features gorgeous woodwork, 8-foot doors & select rooms feature dormers or vaulted ceilings reflective of the interesting roof pitches above. Each room also features the work of celebrated Chicago-based painter Jan Schmuckel. Her landscapes are well known for their dramatic light conditions & sunset colorations. We invite guests to gather & enjoy one another's company from a comfortable Adirondack chair on our private terrace.

We process all reservations online, but we invite you to call or send any questions that you might have. We look forward to your stay with us!
